Mr. Ramesh Venugobal hails from Palakkad, Kerala, and holds a Master’s degree in Commerce,also certified in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, further strengthening his ability to integrate sustainability, social responsibility, and governance principles into development programs.He brings over a decade of rich, multi-sectoral experience in development finance, institutional coordination, and grassroots implementation, with a strong focus on sustainable and inclusive development.
He served as District Development Manager (DDM), NABARD, Palakkad, where he played a pivotal role in planning, monitoring, and overseeing a wide range of development initiatives. His responsibilities included refinancing and monitoring of Tribal Development Projects, WaterShed Development Projects, and other livelihood-focused interventions. He actively facilitated capacity-building programs and training for NGOs, banks, Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and government departments, contributing to stronger institutional linkages at the district level.
Mr. Venugobal played a key role in the formation and monitoring of Farmer Producer Companies and the implementation of Kudumbashree and microfinance initiatives. He also coordinated Business Correspondents (BCs), Banking Literacy Centres (BLCs), and Direct Benefit Linkages in collaboration with the Lead District Manager (LDM). In addition, he monitored major infrastructure projects such as the Mega Food Park at Palakkad, contributing to agri-value chain development and rural enterprise growth.
He actively participated in High-Power Committee meetings chaired by the District Collector, contributing to policy alignment and district-level decision-making. Additionally, he facilitated development-oriented funding linkages and corporate participation through banking and institutional partnerships.
As a senior member of the SEEDS Board, Mr. Ramesh Venugobal contributes significantly to the organization’s growth through his extensive field exposure, institutional knowledge, and strong government interface. He also serves as a key representative and liaison for SEEDS with the Government of Kerala and various allied departments. His multifaceted experience enhances SEEDS’ capacity to implement programs effectively, expand outreach, deliver impactful outcomes, and advance the organization’s long-term vision.
