Scope of Learning During the Internship

The internship at Social Education Economical Development Society (SEEDS) offers a comprehensive learning experience designed to bridge academic knowledge with practical field exposure. Interns will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of social development concepts while actively engaging with communities.

Interns will be able to internalize the core principles, values, and methods of social work, including case work, group work, and community organization, and understand their application in real-life contexts.

Interns will learn practical techniques for identifying community needs, challenges, and priorities through participatory approaches, field observations, and interaction with community members.

Interns will gain hands-on experience working with specific target groups, developing sensitivity and responsiveness to their unique needs and socio-economic conditions.

Exposure to agrarian communities will enable interns to understand rural livelihoods, agricultural practices, and the socio-economic challenges faced by farming households.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Candidates Include:
Students and scholars pursuing Agriculture at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or Doctoral level
Students and scholars pursuing Master of Social Work (MSW) or related Social Work programmes at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or Doctoral level
Candidates from diverse academic disciplines who demonstrate a strong interest in community development perspectives, social impact, and grassroots engagement, and who seek meaningful field-based exposure are also encouraged to apply
Candidates should demonstrate a genuine interest in working with rural communities, particularly with marginalized and agrarian populations, and a willingness to engage in field-based learning and community interaction.
