SEEDS NGO, with financial support from Federal Bank, has been implementing the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme since December 2022 to provide farmers with credit facilities for crop cultivation expenses and other agricultural requirements.

The scheme is implemented through Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) operating under SEEDS NGO across various districts of Tamil Nadu. As part of this initiative, a total of 14 Farmer Producer Organizations have facilitated the opening of 1,314 Kisan Credit Card accounts for farmers in their respective regions.

Through these accounts, each farmer has received credit ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹1,60,000, with a total loan amount of ₹16,79,95,868/- (₹16.79 crore) disbursed under the scheme.

The Kisan Credit Card scheme has been functioning very effectively in meeting the financial needs of farmers in a timely manner across all Farmer Producer Organizations under SEEDS NGO. The initiative has significantly eased crop production expenses and has played a vital role in improving the economic well-being of farmers.
