Mr. S. D. Pandian (a follower of Gandhian thoughts and a volunteer of the Sarvodaya Movement) ushered in rural revolution with special focus on agriculture and small and marginal farmers as well as to bring about inclusive growth in women, children and the vulnerable. Having been a tireless worker and to strengthen his services to the community, Mr. S. D. Pandian envisioned SEEDS (Social Education Economical Development Society) and registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975 in 1995 for the economic and social development of the vulnerable and the farming communities on a sustainable basis. From his humble initiative and assiduous determination SEEDS has grown to a fully-fledged professional organization providing cutting edge services creating large scale impact in the rural areas and changing the lives of thousands of farmers in the project area. Joining hands with the Government, corporate houses and other stakeholders to implement the core programs, Mr. Pandian through his organization has been successfully addressing local challenges of agriculture and rural development through multi-pronged approaches and targeted interventions. During this journey of more than two and a half decades he designed at elevating the acquaintance and observed in empowering the Community Based Organizations, so that they could position themselves to mitigate the challenges encountered by them in their Socio – Economic progress.
